Strobes on location?

Steve Wall is an Australian photographer that has a passion for capturing the the natural environment in a light that I've never seen before.  I came across these images he took of waves at nightfall.  Some of the craziest lighting I have ever seen.  He took a set of strobes and had to get custom waterproof framing and wires to jump in the ocean with while riding a jet ski to chase these wave.  Quite remarkable.  Here's some photos and his website.  http://www.stevewall.com.au
