High key and Low key

Here are a set of rug photos that I made recently. I started with the high key version since that is what flowed with the rest of the imagery for the book and what the client was expecting. I decided to make a low key version for myself to pair with another moody rug shot in my portfolio. When you are working always give the client what they ask for first and then do your version after. Sometimes they like your take so much they use it instead.

Bye bye pen.

Destroyed pen for tabletop assignment. Sadly enough there was more ink on me and my floor than in the shot.

Hard at Work

So I was filming a MotoX event in east Tennessee this weekend with my buddies. I'm going through about 100gigs of HD footage we all took. I'm stoked for everyone to see the outcome! In the meantime, my buddy Tony grabbed this sick image

I thought this was rather cool

Here is a card my wife just made...she wanted a photo, so got to take out the 'toys' and shoot for a minute.

In lieu of strobes...

So I couldn't get any strobes for this assignment and I told Tim I would do mine once I was able to get a hold of some. Felt like I should post something anyway, so I had two of my coworkers, Jennifer and Patricia, pose outside the office at noon during lunch today. This is them butting heads.

Stop! Thief!

Opinions?

So I understand that from a technical standpoint this picture is "wrong" but I think it may be so wrong that it works. If not i'm definitely happy with this mess up.

Week 1

I wasn't able to get my hands on strobes this week so I ended up playing with natural light alot.

Strobes

Two different set ups for the same shot. The second one has a grid camera right and the first one just has a soft box table height camera left.

Then I made a smoothie.

Strobe photos

Took a few hours today to play around with the strobes.

If you haven't noticed...I'm a little addicted to these...
