I just purchased the Flex TT5 from B&H with the student discount. The newest model has a RF soft shield case which you place over your 580EX II since it is known to be extremely noisy. This made it multiple times better in the range! I recommend if you have a 580EX II and plan on purchasing the TT5, buy a new one which comes with this RF shield! FYI Neither come with the sync cord to attach to the strobes power pack (Circus's), so plan on an extra $15.
