Here is a test shot of the lighting set up I made this Saturday.  Used the V-flat that Moxley showed us.  A little Velum paper, some Home Depot utility lights, a couple speedlights, bunch of foam core board, and a dirty old Beer glass.

Looks good Kyle, I like your setup. The principles of light are the same whether you are using clamp lights, strobes or the sun. It really doesn't take a lot of fancy equipment to execute great lighting.
Make sure the glass is centered on the background because your black edge reflections are inconsistent. This also happens if there are imperfections in the glass. This has to be retouched later if that's the case. You also may want to consider going lower on your angle or moving your subject closer to the background to eliminate the horizon reflection in the glass.
